General Terms and Delivery Conditions

For purchases made through the www.duelofwizards.com online shop

Seller: Alec Media és Design Solution Kft. • Effective: 1 August 2026 • Version: 1.0

Key point: Merely browsing the Webshop does not create a contract. The Customer submits an offer involving an obligation to pay only when finalising the order and expressly accepting these Terms and Conditions.

1.1. Scope, definitions and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern the use of the online shop operated at https://www.duelofwizards.com (the Webshop) and contracts of sale concluded between Alec Media és Design Solution Kft. and persons purchasing through the Webshop.

Customer means any natural or legal person placing an order through the Webshop. Consumer means a natural-person Customer acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Rights granted exclusively to Consumers do not apply to non-consumer Customers.

The Webshop is intended for adults. Orders may be placed only by a person aged at least eighteen with full legal capacity, or by a person duly authorised to act for a legal entity.

Before submitting an order, the Customer accepts the Terms applicable at that time by ticking the relevant box and acknowledges the Privacy Notice. The accepted Terms are made available in the confirmation e-mail or through a durable, continuously accessible link included in it.

The Seller publishes any new version of the Terms in the Webshop. An amendment does not alter contracts already concluded unless mandatory law requires otherwise or the parties expressly agree.

Customer-service and complaint contact: by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by post to the Seller's registered office. Only genuine contact details verified by the Seller are to be used; any template telephone number or foreign support hours displayed on the website are not valid contact information.

3.3. Products and product information

The Webshop's principal product is Duel of Wizards, a physical fantasy-themed card game for adults, together with related editions and accessories. The relevant product page states the essential characteristics, box contents, price, availability, age rating and safety warnings of each item.

The game contains no alcohol and can be played fully without consuming alcohol.

Alcohol consumption is not a condition of using the product. If players nevertheless consume alcohol, they may do so only as adults, responsibly and at their own decision and risk.

The product must not be marketed as a children's toy if the product page or packaging carries an adults-only classification; all warnings shown on the packaging must be observed.

Where small components are included, the choking-hazard warning and the applicable age recommendation must appear both on the product page and on the packaging.

In accordance with applicable product-safety rules, the online offer must clearly display at least the manufacturer's name and postal and electronic contact details, information and an image sufficient to identify the product, and all applicable warnings and safety information. Where legally required for an imported product, the details of the responsible economic operator in the European Union must also be shown.

Product images are illustrative. Minor colour differences may occur due to screen settings and manufacturing processes; this alone is not a lack of conformity if the product otherwise meets the contractual and statutory requirements.

4.4. Prices, charges and reductions

Prices shown in the Webshop are gross consumer prices in Hungarian forints and include value added tax. Delivery charges and every other charge that can be calculated in advance are shown separately before the order is submitted and are included in the total amount payable on the checkout summary.

When announcing a price reduction, the Webshop also displays the legally required prior price. As a general rule, this is the lowest price applied during at least the thirty days preceding the reduction; the statutory exceptions for progressive reductions and new products remain applicable.

If a price is manifestly erroneous - for example, zero or clearly disproportionate to the normal market price because of a technical error - the Seller informs the Customer of the correct price before the contract is concluded. The Customer may then confirm the order at the correct price or withdraw the offer without charge. Any amount already debited is refunded without undue delay.

5.5. Ordering and conclusion of the electronic contract

The typical ordering process is:

6.select the product and quantity and place them in the basket;

7.review the basket, prices and quantities;

8.enter billing, contact and delivery details;

9.select one of the delivery and payment methods offered;

10.review the order summary, correct input errors, accept the Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice;

11.submit the order by pressing a button that clearly indicates an obligation to pay.

Before final submission, the Customer may change any data entered, remove products from the basket or stop the process. The Customer must provide accurate, truthful data suitable for delivery.

Submitting the order constitutes the Customer's offer to enter into a contract. The Seller immediately acknowledges receipt by automated e-mail; this technical acknowledgment does not by itself constitute acceptance. If the acknowledgment does not become accessible within forty-eight hours, the Customer is released from the offer.

The contract is concluded when the Seller expressly accepts the order in a separate e-mail or sends notice that the product has been dispatched. The Seller may reject an offer in the event of stock shortage, a manifest pricing error, failed payment or impossible delivery and refunds any amount already paid.

This English version applies where the checkout and the order confirmation are provided in English. The contract data, confirmations and accepted Terms are stored electronically rather than as a signed paper contract; the Customer may retain a copy in their e-mail account. The Seller has not undertaken to comply with a separate code of conduct.

12.6. Payment

The payment methods actually available and any related charges are shown at checkout. In particular, the Seller may offer card payment through Barion Payment Zrt. For a Barion payment, the Seller neither receives nor stores the Customer's card details; the payment provider's own terms and privacy rules also apply.

Payment is successful when confirmed by the payment provider. If payment fails or is interrupted, the order is not treated as paid. The Seller may issue an electronic invoice to the e-mail address supplied by the Customer, who must provide an address capable of receiving it.

13.7. Performance and delivery

The delivery method, provider, charge, destination country and estimated delivery time available for the particular order are shown at checkout before submission. Product-page and checkout information on stock and delivery must be read together with the confirmation for that order.

Unless otherwise agreed, the Seller performs the contract no later than thirty days after it is concluded. If performance is prevented, the Seller informs the Customer without undue delay and agrees a new deadline or refunds the amount paid.

For a Consumer, risk passes when the Consumer or a third party designated by the Consumer, other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods. If the Consumer commissions a carrier not offered by the Seller, risk passes when the goods are handed to that carrier.

On receipt, the Customer should, where possible, inspect the outer package for damage. In case of damage, the Customer should request a record and take photographs; failure to do so does not remove statutory consumer rights.

14.8. Consumer's right of withdrawal

A Consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving reasons within fourteen days from taking physical possession of the goods. For several goods delivered separately, the period begins on receipt of the last item. The right may also be exercised between conclusion of the contract and delivery.

Withdrawal may be notified using the model form in Appendix 1 or any other unequivocal statement sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by post to the Seller's registered office. It is sufficient to send the notice before the fourteen-day period expires; the Consumer bears the burden of proving that it was sent in time.

For a contract concluded through the online interface, the Webshop continuously provides, throughout the withdrawal period, a clearly visible and easily accessible 'Withdraw from the contract' function. The Consumer enters their name, order identifier and the electronic address to which confirmation is requested, and submits the statement using the 'Confirm withdrawal' function. The Seller acknowledges the content, time and date of submission on a durable medium without undue delay.

Following withdrawal, the Consumer returns or hands over the goods to the Seller's registered office without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after communicating the withdrawal. The direct cost of return is borne by the Consumer unless the Seller has agreed to bear it. The Seller is not required to accept cash-on-delivery returns.

The Seller refunds the purchase price and the charge for the least expensive standard delivery method offered within fourteen days after being informed of the withdrawal. Refund is made using the original payment method unless the Consumer expressly agrees otherwise. The Seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods are returned or the Consumer supplies reliable evidence of dispatch.

The Consumer is liable only for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Opening the packaging does not by itself exclude withdrawal unless a statutory exception applies.

The right of withdrawal may be excluded only in cases prescribed by law. As a rule, the fourteen-day right applies to the currently sold, non-personalised Duel of Wizards card game. A standard product taken from the manufacturer's stock does not become personalised merely because it is ordered by a particular Customer.

15.9. Lack of conformity, statutory warranty, product warranty and guarantee

The Seller fails to perform in conformity if, at the time of delivery, the goods do not meet the quality, quantity, functionality or safety requirements of the contract or applicable law.

For a consumer sale, the Consumer may generally exercise statutory conformity rights for two years from delivery. If a defect becomes apparent within one year after delivery, it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless that presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the defect.

The Consumer may first require repair or replacement unless the chosen remedy is impossible or would impose disproportionate additional costs compared with the alternative remedy.

Where the statutory conditions are met, the Consumer may require a proportionate reduction in price or terminate the contract, especially if the Seller does not repair or replace properly, the defect recurs, the defect is serious, or it is clear that no remedy will be provided within a reasonable time.

The conditions for termination and the applicable burden-of-proof rules are determined by the consumer legislation in force; the contract cannot be terminated for a minor lack of conformity.

Under the Hungarian product-warranty rules, the Consumer may require the manufacturer or distributor to repair or replace defective movable goods within the applicable statutory period and subject to the statutory conditions.

As a rule, the card game is not among the durable consumer goods subject to a mandatory commercial guarantee. If a separately sold accessory is covered by a mandatory guarantee, or if the Seller offers a voluntary guarantee, its duration and conditions are stated on the product page, in the guarantee statement or in applicable law. A guarantee does not affect statutory conformity or product-warranty rights.

A conformity, product-warranty or guarantee claim may be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by post, identifying the defect, the order and the remedy sought. The Seller records and handles the claim in accordance with the applicable procedural rules.

16.10. Complaints and dispute resolution

The Customer may send a complaint by e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by post to the Seller's registered office. The Seller answers a written complaint in writing, on the merits and with reasons, within thirty days of receipt. The complaint and a copy of the response are retained for three years.

If a complaint is rejected, the Seller informs the Consumer of the competent authority or conciliation body available in view of the nature of the matter and confirms that it cooperates in the consumer conciliation procedure.

10.1. Consumer conciliation body

A Consumer may apply to the consumer conciliation body competent for their residence or place of stay. The body competent for the Seller's registered office is:

Hajdú-Bihar County Consumer Conciliation Body
(Hajdú-Bihar Vármegyei Békéltető Testület)
4025 Debrecen, Vörösmarty utca 13-15., Hungary
Telephone: +36 52 500 710; +36 52 500 745
E-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Website: https://www.hbmbekeltetes.hu

Online application and the current contact details of all Hungarian conciliation bodies are available at https://bekeltetes.hu. Before starting the procedure, the Consumer must first attempt to resolve the dispute directly with the Seller.

10.2. Consumer-protection authority and courts

For an infringement of consumer-protection rules, a Consumer may contact the consumer-protection department of the government office competent for the Consumer's residence. The parties may also bring contractual disputes before a court with jurisdiction.

Change from older templates: The European Union's former Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. The former ODR link is therefore not included in these Terms.

17.11. Intellectual property and use of the website

The Duel of Wizards name, the protected expression of the game rules, graphics, card images, texts, photographs, videos, logos and other Webshop content may be protected by copyright, trade-mark or other intellectual-property rights. Except where permitted by law, such material may not be copied, adapted, distributed or used commercially without the rights holder's prior written permission.

Technical services connected with the Webshop may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, malfunction or a third-party provider's failure. The Seller takes the measures reasonably expected to restore operation; mandatory consumer rights are not restricted by such circumstances.

18.12. Privacy

The separate Privacy and Cookie Notice explains the Webshop's processing of personal data. When card payment, external map content or another third-party service is used, the provider's own privacy notice may also apply.

19.13. Governing law and final provisions

These Terms and the contracts concluded under them are governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Hungarian Civil Code and mandatory consumer legislation. This choice of law does not deprive a Consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State of the protection of mandatory consumer rules applicable in that State.

If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. The relevant mandatory rule of law applies in place of the invalid provision.
